Elementary, My Dear Watson

Here's a question or two for you:

Why is someone who considers every human being truly equal considered "fringe" or "radical"?

Why is something we are taught in preschool and/or kindergarten - that everyone is the same and that we should treat everyone nicely and with kindness - thrown out the window at a certain point?

I've missed you Tabba. Why do we stop believing that we are all the same? All connected? I don't know but it is sad that we do.

I think, it changed for me when I was attacked. It became so very clear to me that some people are not equal.

Oh Tabba - I don't know.

It boggles the mind, doesn't it?

I think it's when we lose the idea of connectedness and interdependence and equality that things go awry.

Probably due to self-confidence: perhaps we all just need to be okay with ourselves before we can be okay with others.

Good and bad, we are all part of the same race. I wish we lived in a world without borders, and we could tell our kids that they could trust anyone. Sadly, that isn't the case.

As for me, I still try, every day, not to judge. I think I'll be trying until the day I die.

I've missed you! :)

Oh, I'm always so happy to stop by and see you here!

I don't know when it happens...but it does, and it's sad.

I don't understand why, but I do agree that one has to be happy with themselves &/or their own life to share the light of another. Often times it's easier to "throw the light out the window" and close the curtain than it is to open the curtain and let the light in. It's sometimes warmer under the covers for a person with a dark mood or ora.
