Question Of The Day #1.5

So, is it completely rude, juvenile, and ridiculous of me to want to wear my iPod while I grocery shop?
What do you all think?

(I fully intend to disconnect the ear buds at the check out line. Unless I do self check-out, then the ear buds are staying intact.)

Go for it. Your shopping alone then why not.

I wear my Shuffle when I'm shopping. Why not? It's not like we go to the grocery store to interact with people. Plus, it's great to listen to Gorillaz when you are dodging people who have no problem running into you with their shopping carts because you are in their way.

Oh, and I take my ear buds out when I'm in the checkout line as well. It would be rude otherwise.

That's a great idea - and a good way to avoid all the conversations that strangers are bound to strike up with you (that happens all the time to me). You can shop in peace...well, depending on what you're listening to, but I say go for it!!!

Of course it's not ridiculous. Have you HEARD the music they play in those places? I swear my supermarket only has one cd cause the SAME SONGS are playing every time I'm there. And they're awful. And I can't help but sing along in spite of myself. In fact, when I used to take my kids with me, whenever they'd get really squirrelly, I'd just start singing along with the music really loudly and they'd promise me anything I wanted to make me stop. Ah, good times.

As long as you take them out at the checkstand, what's the big deal?

It is entirely rude, juvenile & so appropriate!!!

I love wearing mine all the time! I take it out to speak to people, but other than that you can find me walking along the street, doing my grocery shopping. I even have an adapter so I can play it over my car stereo!!

Ok, I'm sad! Deal with it!
